The Multi-Purpose Fire Retardant is a water based spray on application to fabric materials that are porous. It cannot be applied to non-porous materials as the product is required to absorb into the material in order to achieve its purpose. It is a clear product so has no bearing on the original aesthetics of the product. This application is warranted and certified for 12 months only before it needs a re-application. If the material is washed or exposed to any water that will remove the product from the material, it would then warrant another application.
